We take your personal data seriously. We process personal data and have adopted this privacy policy to explain how we process your data.
Aalborg Portland A/S is the data controller of the information we collect about you, and we ensure that your personal data is processed in compliance with applicable legislation.

Processing of personal data
Personal data are all kinds of information which are somehow related to you.

Being one of our customers, we collect various general information about you such as contact and payment details and we collect your answers to the questions we are asking you to answer in relation to this customer satisfaction survey.

The personal data we collect and process about you is your answers to the customer satisfaction questions. Your answers will not be anonymous.

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent accidental or unlawful erasure, publication, loss, deterioration or unauthorised disclosure, abuse or any other unlawful processing of your data. We will save your personal data on computers with restricted access which are located in supervised facilities, and our security measures will be monitored regularly to determine whether our user information is handled properly and with continued regard to your rights as a user. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security in all data transfers on the Internet. This means that there may be a risk of unauthorised access to data when data are being sent and stored electronically. You thus give your personal data at your own risk.

We have a legitimate interest in collecting and processing personal data about our customers in order to provide the best service possible. Personal data about customers are collected for the following purposes:
     - Processing of your purchases and delivery of our goods or services
     - Customer relation management
     - To ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Data collected through cookies will be used to get the survey to function properly. 

Data minimisation
We collect, process and store personal data only where necessary to achieve our objectives. In certain circumstances, we may be under a statutory obligation to collect and store certain types of data for our business activities. The type and scope of the personal data we process may also be determined by the need to fulfil a contract or other legal obligation. 
Data kept up-to-date
As our service depends on your data being accurate and up to date, please inform us of relevant changes to your data. You may use the contact details above to inform us of your changes; then we will make sure to update your personal data. If we discover that data are inaccurate, we will update the data and inform you. 

Period for which the personal data are stored
The data are stored for the period permitted under applicable legislation and as long as the personal data are relevant for the optimisation of our customer service. We erase the data when they are no longer necessary. The period depends on the nature of the data and the reason for storage. Therefore, it is impossible to state a general time frame for when data will be erased.

Disclosure of information
We use a number of third party providers of data storage and processing services, including IT solution providers. These providers process only data on our behalf and must not use the data for their own purposes. The data collected from the customer satisfaction survey are disclosed to a relevant external consultancy service provider and relevant companies affiliated with Aalborg Portland. All recipients of the personal data in this regard only process the data on our behalf, under our instructions and only when a valid data processing agreement has been entered into with us.

The disclosure of personal data to third parties for other purposes requires your consent.

We only use data processors within the European Union, European Economic Area or countries that can offer your data adequate protection and any personal data will only be disclosed or transferred to entities located in such countries.

Use of cookies
This survey uses cookies. We use cookies to get the survey to function properly and the cookies will be deleted automatically once you close down the browser when the survey is completed. If you do not wish us to collect information, you should delete your cookies and stop using the website containing the survey. Below we go into more detail about the data we collect, their purpose and the third parties who have access to them.

Third parties may set functional cookies, for example youtube.com if videos have been posted on sites or if facebook.com or addthis.com is used to share articles or news.

How to reject or delete your cookies

If you believe that the personal data we process about you are inaccurate, you have the right to have the data rectified. You should contact us to inform of the nature of the inaccuracies and how to rectify them.
In some cases, we have an obligation to delete your personal data; for instance, if you withdraw a consent you have given. If you believe that data are no longer required for the purpose that we collected them for, you may ask to have them erased. You may also contact us if you believe that personal data are being processed contrary to the law or other legal obligations.
You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.
When you ask to have your personal data rectified or erased, we check whether the conditions are met and then make changes or erasure as promptly as possible.
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. You may also object to our disclosure of your data for marketing purposes. You may use the contact details above to send an objection. If your objection is legitimate, we will make sure to cease processing your personal data.
You have the right to data portability if you wish to transfer your data to another data controller or processor.
We delete personal data at our own motion when they are no longer required for the purpose for which they were collected.
